Perfect Bride Fang Ling is a two-phase main boss in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, found at the bottom of the Shaft. This fight tests your defensive skills, rewarding perfectly timed parries and clashes. Upon defeat, she transforms into the monstrous Chimera - Fang Ling for the second phase.
Fang Ling is located at the bottom of the Shaft. From the Shaft Entrance shrine, you must progress through the Bride’s Boudoir area. At the end, you will cross a bridge that collapses, dropping you into her arena.
This is a two-phase fight. The first phase is a technical duel that rewards defensive play. The second phase is a battle against a large monster where positioning is key.
Fang Ling will mostly use her dual blades. Focus on deflecting and breaking her poise.
Hanging Blood Shots
Her opening attack. She hangs from the ceiling and fires four blood projectiles. Dodge the shots to build Skyborn Might and stay clear of the center to avoid her landing slam.
Aerial Arc Spin
Fang Ling executes a spinning motion in the air with her two blades to deliver multiple hits. Dodge to the side to avoid getting hit.
Dashing Stab
She readies her blade, which briefly shines before she dashes forward for a stab. Deflect on the shine or dodge to the side. Dodging forward can position you behind her for a counterattack.
Charged Stab
Similar to the Dashing Stab, but she readies both of her blades and has a longer charge before executing the stab after the flash of light. The dodge timing is delayed.
Whip Slash
She temporarily floats and spins with her blade, extending its range on the second spin. This is a great opportunity to Clash or Deflect.
Scissor Cuts
Fang Ling readies her blades, then performs three quick scissor-like snap attacks, followed by a final slash. Focus on dodging backward with each attack.
Monstrous Roar
The monster connected to her lets out a roar. Equip the Dracolich Pendant to ignore the flinch and get a free window to attack.
Blood Beam
The monster fires a beam of blood along the ground, which explodes after the attack ends. Dodge to the sides to avoid both the beam and the explosion.
She transforms into a monstrous form, losing her blades but gaining powerful AoE and ranged attacks.
Beastly Roar
Her opening attack after transforming. Use the Dracolich Pendant to avoid the flinch and land a few free hits.
Sideward BeamsThis is your main damage window. The chimera becomes stationary and fires a massive beam, sweeping from its left to right and back. Immediately sprint to the chimera’s right side (your left) and stay close. You will be completely safe and can attack freely.
Ferocious Bites
A four-hit combo of lunging bites with strong forward tracking. Dodge to the side for each bite. Do not dodge backward.
Relentless Strikes
The chimera pounds the ground multiple times with its claws, finishing with a two-handed slam. Stay near its side to avoid the initial pounds, then dodge the final slam.
Explosive Blast
The chimera breathes fire into the ground, which begins to glow intensely. Run away immediately to avoid the massive point-blank explosion.
Falling Crimson
She lets out a roar (this one does not flinch) and red circles appear on the ground, followed by falling debris. Stop attacking and focus on continuous movement to avoid the AoE damage.
