Usage: Call down lightning that strikes an enemy and then spreads outward.
Description:
A spell inscribed in theZhenwu Tome, that can summon lightning to strike down enemies. When the rebels raided the temple, they stole numerous scrolls and mastered this thunderous technique. Once a symbol of divine might, thunder now serves as a ruthless tool of destruction in the hands of these marauders.
Mt. Zhenwu -
: From the Shrine, go through the gap in the boss room and walk down back into nature. Go through the cave and take a right where the ladders are. Continue on and climb the ladder, while dealing with the traps and enemies. Keep going, and you should come across a dead end, where a Maddened Ming soldier with Lightning spells is. This enemy guards the spell pickup at the back of the dead end.
Lotus Lantern

Usage: Conjure a golden lotus that explodes to deal damage.
Description:
A spell the Nine Lotuses use to help the souls of the dead transcend. TheLotus Lanternis said to be a divine lamp that illuminates the very sky, a relic that enables the souls of the departed to reach the other side. A warm light that wards off evil, its radiance is actually fierce enough to burn beings to cinders, too.

Usage: Leap backward, then launch multiple fireballs that deal damage and cause Burn buildup. Being hit while leaping backward triggers Alacrity.
Description:
A spell used by the Taoists of Zhenwu Temple capable of sending forth a barrage of fireballs. People believed flames could banish demons and epidemics. Seeking the aid of Taoist priests, they employed this technique to set Lu Hongliu’s home ablaze, reducing it to ashes. Thus began her path of hatred and vengeance.
Infernal Flames

Description:
A technique passed down in opera troupes, that creates a flame in the shape of a mask. The man desperately tried to save his wife, but in the end, he contracted Feathering and succumbed to madness. In hard times, it is the strong that survive.
Darkfrost Flames

Description:
A technique passed down in opera troupes, that creates a freezing flame in the shape of a mask. The performers captured by the rebels were infected with Feathering. Their minds shattered, they continued to perform until their dying breath.

Description:
A spell passed down by the Nine Lotuses, using a sacred flame stored through ritual. The Nine Lotuses use this spell whenever their flame begins to fade, keeping it burning eternally. For them, the flame is a symbol of ultimate power and reverence.

Description:
A ritual spell from the Nine Lotuses, used to exorcise evil spirits during soul-calling ceremonies. Liu Wenxiu captured them for his dark purposes, using them in resurrection experiments. Corrupted by red mercury, they lost their former selves but gained immense magical power.
Battlefield Site: Turn left from the Shrine and go through the gap in the wall, then turn right. Climb the battlements and run to the end slightly further to where the mage is to get the spell.
Aurum Feather Force

Usage: Conjure forth a golden blade and release its force forward. Can trigger Alacrity if you're attacked while casting.
Description:
One of Zhenwu Temple’s spells in which one conjures forth a golden blade and releases its force forward. Driven by his obsession with immortality, the Tang Emperor ordered the Taoists of the temple to unlock the secret of eternal life. Sadly, none were quick enough to escape when the rebels arrived.

Plume Vortex

Usage: Send forth a vortex that explodes, dealing damage while also sending enemies flying and causing great stagger. Can trigger Alacrity if you're attacked while casting.
Description:
An ancient spell lost within the woods, that summons a powerful vortex by brandishing one’s wings. Created as a tribute to the legendary Avians of old. While the Taoists of the Zhenwu Temple acquired it by happenstance, they failed to resist its power. With this, one is said to be able to conjure mighty gales with a mere flap of their wings. Potent as it may be, it pales in comparison to the full force of the Avians’ ancient might.
: Inside one of the large tree rooms on the other side of the Dwelling Shrine. Either cross the shortcut or traverse through
as normal to get it. Once there, head inside one of the larger tree rooms and check for a nest by a ledge on the other side of the entrance. You can loot it from that nest.

Description:
Dhutanga’s spell, based on an old fire-breather’s stage trick. Dhutanga, unable to find the love he sought, slaughtered the performer he had abducted. The raging flame he summoned was a reflection of the fury consuming him.

After studying thunder techniques at Zhenwu Temple, he perfected the art of shooting five thunder-charged arrows at a time, elevating his marksmanship to extraordinary heights.

A spell mastered byBai Kru, the Feathered Demon. Bai Kru was a boy whom the Bai family had high hopes for, but before reaching adulthood, he transformed into a demon and committed patricide— an act that, for him, was mere amusement.

Now resurrected, the Sovereign is a mere hollow shell, with his once righteous fury transformed into unrelenting storms of lightning.

Description:

Description:

However, while the woman who taught this ritual claimed to be the Magus, she had secretly altered the sacred teachings for her own ends.

Waspomancy

Description:
A form of Insectomancy utilized by the Madam of Snowfall. The poisonous insects Huang Yan has nurtured follow her every command. By the time you hear the relentless flapping of countless wings, escape may no longer be possible.

: Go up the lift inside the Snowfall Palace. The magic will be on the table in the side room up there (or given to you by Huang Yen if she is there).
Call of the Wild

Usage: Conjure missiles to assail enemies, dealing Feathering damage.
Description:
A spell used by the Bo people that allows them to command the souls of birds to strike at their foes. Legends say that the souls of these feathered creatures answer the summons of the Primordial Deity. It was through this very spell that the Primordial Deity spread his mandate across the world, with all Feathered souls responding to his call.

Usage: Gather energy to absorb any incoming spell directed at you and gain Skyborn Might, then unleash it in a powerful explosion that damages all nearby foes.
Description:
This spell was wielded by the creature that emerged from the Ming Emperor Zhu Youjian. Yu Xia devoted herself fully to resurrecting Zhu Youjian and restoring the Ming Dynasty. Although the true dragon that arose from the ceremony differs from its predecessor, her loyalty remains unshaken.

Description:

Description:
A spell used by the Feathered Immortal Xuanyangzi that conjures a crimson blade, unleashing a Feathering-type blade force and a magic orb forward. Xuanyangzi’s greatest ambition was to transcend mortal life and achieve immortality. Thus, he buried himself in the study of red mercury, squandering human lives like mere fuel for his craft. Now, as a Feathered, he wields its power as though it were an extension of himself, unleashing destruction with every move.
Demonbane Strike

Description:
A reworked Zhenwu Temple spell, that enables even the weakest of men to exert great force. A Taoist once visited theBai Mansionto perform a ritual. He taught the owner a spell to use if things ever went awry. Though less adaptable than the original, its strength lies in its immense power.

Description:
A spell mastered by Lu Bingzhang, the Feathered Priest, that can pierce through all enemies, inflicting Feathering damage. As a priest of theShu Sanctum, Lu Bingzhang dedicated his life to seeking the Primordial Deity’s power. Yet in the end, he was lured by the allure of red mercury, becoming Feathered and falling into madness—an irony in every sense.

Usage: Hurl chunks of gore that explode upon impact, dealing Feathering damage and causing Corruption buildup. Corruption buildup also affects the caster.
Description:
A spell used by the Soulwood ofDoomwillow Beach. A group conspired to perform a ritual, pouring all the red mercury extracted from the corpses at Doomwillow Beach into the Soulwood, transforming it into a demon. The thick slurry of flesh and blood it spews out carries a liquid that corrodes life itself, tainted by the deep-seated hatred of the dead.

The shriek of Lu Hongliu, the man-eating monster. Since her father perished in a raging fire, Lu Hongliu has oft mourned heartbreakingly under the moon like any ordinary person. Even a man-eating demon can yearn for their loved ones.

Description:
Madam Huang Yan’s secret Insectomancy art, honed through years of meticulous training, allows her to command the insect swarm as if they were extensions of her own body. Her formidable swarm can strike down enemies or inflict suffering, the latter serving as one of the Madam’s few pastimes. In addition to this, she raises her son and manages the castle.
